Electrical Testing (EICR)

Electrical testing is becoming an ever increasing part of our lives.

Testing of domestic properties is recommended every 10 years (for private dwellings), 5 years for rental and commercial properties and 3 years for Industrial. Special locations like swimming pools is recommended to be tested every year!

The electrical test is called an EICR which stands for Electrical Installation Condition Report. Think of it as an MOT for your House or Business.

The test is a very detailed test which does involve a minimum amount of time for it to be carried out depending on the size of the electrical installation. Karga electrical services carry out instrumental checks and visual checks to detect faults, damage and areas where they don’t comply to BS7671 regulations.

A report is produced after every EICR. This report is classed either "Satisfactory" or "Unsatisfactory"

This can be passed onto the insurance company or the client.
